CH'PR' NEVADA'S NOT AFRAID OF THE DARK  DNA-P
Welcome to our home on the web. We are a small kennel located in southern New England. We breed our APBT's to the United Kennel Clubs standard with temperament being our number one priority, followed by health, and then correct structure, & movement. We at Mass Kennels don't have puppies often we are not a puppy mill we average one litter every two years we breed only to improve and preserve our bloodline. Our goal is to promote a positive image for this wonderful breed and to produce top quality A.P.B.T's that not only have beautiful conformation, and movement but structure as well. Our dogs are raised as part of the family and are socialized with people and children from day one. There bloodlines consist of generations of Champion and Grand Champion titled dogs. We believe in following the U.K.C breeders code of ethics to produce dogs of excellent health and consistent quality making them excellent as family pets or for show, and sporting. We place our dogs in responsible and loving homes and are strongly aginst dog fighting and will not sell any of our puppies to anyone supporting or involved in such a horrific sport.

THE AMERICAN PIT BULL TERRIER THE ALL AMERICAN FAMILY DOG!

The characteristics of the American Pit Bull Terrier are strength, confidence, and its overall love for life. This breed is eager to please and brimming over with enthusiasm. APBTs make excellent family companions and have always been noted for their love of children. Because most APBTs exhibit some level of dog aggression and because of its powerful physique, the APBT requires an owner who will carefully socialize and obedience train the dog. The breed's natural agility makes it one of the most capable canine climbers so good fencing is a must for this breed. The APBT is not the best choice for a guard dog since they are extremely friendly, even with strangers. Aggressive behavior toward humans is uncharacteristic of the breed and highly undesirable. This breed does very well in performance events because of its high level of intelligence and its willingness to work.

Sometime during the nineteenth century, dog fanciers in England, Ireland, and Scotland began to experiment with crosses between Bulldogs and Terriers, looking for a dog that combined the gameness of the terrier with the strength and athleticism of the Bulldog. The result was a dog that embodied all of the virtues attributed to great warriors: strength, indomitable courage, and gentleness with loved ones. Immigrants brought these bull and terrier crosses to the United States. The American Pit Bull Terrier's many talents did not go unnoticed by farmers and ranchers who used their APBTs for protection, as catch dogs for semi-wild cattle and hogs, to hunt, to drive livestock, and as family companions. Today, the American Pit Bull Terrier continues to demonstrate its versatility, competing successfully in Obedience, Tracking, Agility, Protection, and Weight Pulls, as well as Conformation.

The United Kennel Club was the first registry to recognize the American Pit Bull Terrier. U.K.C. founder C. Z. Bennett assigned U.K.C. registration number 1 to his own APBT, Bennett's Ring in 1898.

At Mass Kennels temperament comes first.

All of the dogs are raised in a family environment,
and are socialized with our children.

This site displays many of our dogs, but we prefer to keep a limited number of dogs
in our yard so that we can give them lots of attention.

All dogs are UKC registered.

Our dogs are DNA profiled with the UKC

DNA certification is a powerful tool in ensuring reliable registration records.
We would like to offer our puppy buyers an
"additional level of security"
by guaranteeing their pedigrees through either the AKC and/or the UKC.

Mass Kennels recommends the
HomeAgain Microchip

The HomeAgain microchip has a patented Bio-Bond (tm) anti-migration cap,
which decreases the chance for movement of the microchip within the body of an animal.
HomeAgain is the only microchip that has the
Bio-Bond (tm) anti-migration cap for companion animals in the U.S. market
.

OTHER BRANDS may migrate in the dog's body making the chip INEFFECTIVE
